Blog Post Engineering Review!

Hey folks, since I first wrote this Post, Dr. Doolin has been frantically working and reworking Blog Post Engineering.  He is launching version 0.7.4 William Today and let me tell you it will be well worth having a copy.  Like I say below, I purchased an earlier copy and Dave was kind enough to send me updates of this release.  It has more depth and several bonuses that will make your blog posts even better.  Click any of the links here or over on the sidebar to learn more.  I really think that this e-book should be in every bloggers toolkit to make some killer, SEO friendly blog posts.  Read on for more!

I deliberately delayed the posting of my Blog Post Engineering review.  I know the “un-launch” has come and gone, but there were so many glowing reviews of this book, I wanted to wait and post later.  So I could get more traffic and SEO without the masses clogging up google.  It is selfish but there you are.

Oh, and all of the links here are probably affiliate links, so take that and do what you will with it, I may make money from anything you click.  And that wouldn’t be a bad thing.

I actually bought and paid for this book.  It does come with updates, of which I have already received one.  This book will really help you write excellent blog posts.

I bought Blog Post Engineering to make my posts better and ultimately gain followers, customers, and Google rank.  My first concern when buying the book was the same whenever I buy anything, am I actually going to use this and make it worth the investment.  The email I go t from Dave about breaking legs and sledge hammers had something else to do with it.  Of course I can’t prove that e-mail ever existed so I may have been dreaming.

I wondered if I could actually use the information in a practical way.  Guess what, yes I could and so can everyone who blogs.  This book and these tips are for anyone who blogs, no experience required.  If you have experience posting on a blog, this book will help you polish and refine your posts.

There is a TON of useful and relevant information that is spelled out in a very straightforward way.  It showed me how to use tags and categories in a more useful way,  to be more productive and get on the SEO radar.

I liked how it read more like a conversation than a textbook, it was easy to follow and retain the information.  It is formatted to look like a book, so it kind of feels like reading a book.  There are plenty of links to articles on Website In A Weekend.  I had already read most of these posts so I could really see the implementation of the concepts described.

This book also goes into some promotion of your posts, so that you can actually get readers there and let the SEO magic start happening.

I would very much recommend Blog Post Engineering, especially if you are new to blogging and are trying to get eyes on your blog, all of the techniques int BPE are proven and tested several times over.  They work.

This ebook is on my desktop so that I can refer to it as often as I need.  I found some stuff I was doing right, some I was doing kind of right, and some I wasn’t doing at all.  In one fairly concise ebook all of this information is at your fingertips.

** New content- This new version has even more value than before.  It is organized in sections that let you build your skills.  It includes new chapters on what to do with old posts and how to use audio and video more effectively.  There are also chapters on using some quality plugins that will increase SEO.  **

Now, to be fair, all of this information is available on Website In A Weekend. Much of this information has been taken down and is only available in this e-manual.  If you go looking for it on there, you will find it but it takes quite a bit of digging. This book brings together all of that great information in one spot, that is instantly useable.  I think this is half of the value of the book.  The other is increasing your SEO significantly.

The best part, besides the 90 day money back guarantee, is lifetime updates to Blog Post Engineering.  When a new version comes out, you get an email.  That in itself is worth more than you will pay for the book.  It just keeps getting better and better.  I do have it on authority from Dave himself that the final version is coming.  Some of the extras available right now will not be included with the final version.  Now is a great time to purchase.  As of the date of this update, 10/27/10, the price is $23.  As of 10/31 the price will be going up to to $47.  Even that is more than worth it.

Go Check out Dave’s site and Blog Post Engineering.  You will be glad you did!

Whirlwind Weeks and Catching Up

Well folks last week was a mess.  I don’t really want to get into the journal or this is why I need to be coddled trap, but let’s just say last week was, well, a mess.

My Son was born on July 1st as I have documented on here, and then we spent 4 days in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit.  It would have been 14 for antibiotics if my daughter who had the kidney transplant didn’t decide to get an infection herself.  Anytime a transplant patient gets a fever over 103.5 degrees, they worry.  And then they admit to the hospital.

We were lucky that we could get my son transferred to the childrens hospital to at least be in the same building as my daughter.  I didn’t get much done over the week however.  I finally got my computer up there on Wednesday night and was able to do a bit of work and even record a podcast but good grief I am behind.

I did however come up with some good ideas for posts in the near future.  I even started a new ebook that I am planning on giving away with my email list.  I am excited about it, but I need a new title.  I googled my title and got a couple of older blog posts out there.  I don’t want anyone to feel ripped off.

Well here we are then, another week of blogging and creating and no worries about last week.  I am sorry about Fiction Saturday though, you guys are getting ripped off the last month with that one.  There will be more story this week I promise!

Thanks for reading and sticking around, I will have more pics of the new baby on my pics page, check it out!

Up and Disappear

I was cleaning out my email the other day and came upon an old message from a system to, well, make money.  Yes I had purchased it.  I didn’t know then the marketing tricks that get used to get newbie bloggers to spring for the system.

It was a system that started at $47 and kept reducing every time I hit the cancel button.  I know We all have been there before.  I didn’t know what I was doing officer I swear!  So I clicked down enough that I end up at $7.  I figured, this could be a great deal to make some money and bought it.

Now I know better, and see that the only person making money was the guy selling the product.  I tried to log into the links from several emails of this course and the site no longer exists.  Not one link worked.  I could only find one reference to it on the net, and it was a sales page for the same course!  I am very confused.

My only course of action was to give up and neglect to eat that combo meal.  I deleted all of the e-mails.  Now I don’t feel bad about that, it just had to be done.  But think of this, if everyone ended up disappearing who would be left?

The greatest blogs and empires have not gone into the nothing and let the world pass them by, they have stood strong and received the followings that they deserved.  That is where every one of us should be working towards.  If you are running a website or a blog or whatever entrepreneurial pursuit you are working on, stay strong, don’t up and dissappear.  Eventually someone will be pissed off at you.

Go do something good today.

Adding more to the Plate

So here I am 4 1/2 months into my blog and doing pretty well.  I still am working on traffic, comments and writing ebooks.  I do forsee a problem brewing.  That is the weather.  It is getting very nice in Utah even with some great rain the past few weeks.  Oh yeah I found a hole in my roof I need to go patch.

Anyway, the weather is turning nice and there are many things that have to be done outside with my lawn, flowerbeds, and the vegetable garden.  All of these have not been a problem in the past, when my daughter was healthy.  Everything went to pot when she was in the hospital.

Last year was ok, this year promises to be great.  I can’t wait to get out and work.  There is however my blog to consider now.  I haven’t had the work commitments that a lot of you have had to deal with.  I have put hundreds of hours into my site and my burgeoning empire.

Now I have to figure out how to keep up with all of the yardwork, housework, and my work.  This is not bad.  This will be a good thing.  I have a 10 year old and a 7 year old that can pull weeds and move the sprinkler as good as I can.  That outsourcing thing that is the rage in the blogosphere nowdays.  I have 2 ebooks that are coming, one a stay at home dad primer, the other a book about our families journey with kidney failure.  I also have my fiction ebook of Jackson Malone that will be finished soon.  Plus new fiction saturdays and the Creative Copy Challenge!

To that end, you may be reading lessons over tomatoes, or things I taught my son in a weed patch.  Heaven help us when I get to the fishing reports.

Have a great Thursday folks!
