Not that there was any way to avoid it, but I am sure you have noticed my lack of postings here on the Catharsis the past couple of weeks. Call it lack of motivation, call it laziness, call it what you will, but I have been absent. I hope that there is someone out there who is at least annoyed by that.
I have written something like this post before and I am sure that if you remember those you are sick of it and are ready to unsubscribe. Let me just say, please don’t. I have ideas again and things to write about but my time is not balanced well at the moment. I could blame it on a number of things including sick kids and a 7 month old who likes to wake up in the middle of the night, but the only person to blame is me.
I hope I have not alienated too many of you! And for the 7 month old, there is nothing better in this world than soothing a crying baby and rocking him to sleep, even if it is 4 am. Nothing quite compares I’ll tell you, even if it dramatically cuts into writing time. I have a post about some of that coming Friday.
So for now, I will be pushing forward with this blog, Cantankerous Old Coots blog, Brendas Quilt Shop blog as well as freelance work and the podcasts! I plan on podcasting more, placing some on here and some on iTunes exclusive to subscribers. You can use the link over there in the sidebar to subscribe on iTunes. Plus I will always be taking suggestions for things to podcast! Drop me a line with the contact form over there and let me know. If you would like to be a guest on the podcast let me know that as well! Skype is a great thing and I want to use it more and more.
I am also thinking of that dreaded video stuff. I have been playing with it and there may be more ahead. Also look for some Stay at Home Dad stuff. I am working on releasing some modules on Stay at Home Dadding that will become a real book and a course bundled with audio and *gulp* video. I am planning on starting a SAHD consulting business, there should be a market as there are more and more of us around.
So here is what I want from you readers. Leave me a comment and let me know your opinion of 3 things. First, how do you like my current model of writing this blog; Monday- whatever goes, Poetry Tuesday, Podcast Thursday, SAHD Friday and Fiction Saturday. Does this work? Does it just annoy you?
Second, Fiction Saturday. Does anyone care anymore? I am at the end of Man with the Hazy Suit but due to many things I haven’t written the finale. Is there still some of you who are interested in reading fiction or is it just an old dream that is better put down like a rabid dog.
Third, what do you think in general? My comments are few and far between and while the traffic stats are consistent and look good, rankings are dropping and I am hoping that there are people behind those numbers reading what falls from my brain through my fingers. Please take a moment and let me know anything else that is on your mind.
